Students collect data on a 61.5 gram package of Skittles using the scientific method. They wrote two hypothesis predicting weight and color. Students worked in small groups to discover if the control portioning set by the company was 100% accurate. Class data was collect and charted to find the average mass and number of skittles. Groups separate Skittles into color piles, calculate percentage, and made a bar graph.
Students wrote two hypothesis using the original mass and length of their alligator to predict growth over 14 days. Each group completed daily measurements on mass and length over a two week period. Students followed the scientific method and wrote a conclusion on information collected.
